Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Oceanside has applied to the City of Oceanside for an amended Conditional Use Permit and Development Plan for an additional 88 acres for the expansion of the cemetery.
Eternal Hills provides burial space for the Oceanside community. However, the
existing cemetery will no longer have the room to properly serve the community
as Eternal Hills has less than a two year supply for burial and mausoleum space.
The existing cemetery occupies approximately 44 acres of a 130.53 acre site. The expansion plan would provide burial space to serve the community needs over a 20 to 30 year period. The Conditional Use Permit would approve an additional 24 acres within the site for additional cemetery use. The plan also set aside approximately 64 acres as permanent native habitat. Eternal Hills have been working closely with their neighbors on issues of concern and will continue to listen to their thoughts on the Eternal Hills expansion plans.
